My mom gave me a pint of fresh strawberries from a local Mennonite farm yesterday. The are so good that I decided we would just eat them instead of baking with them. I’m helping out with a baby shower this weekend too, so I thought this was a great opportunity to try out a recipe I could possibly use for the shower. This Creamy Dreamy Fruit Dip turned out fabulously! It’s everything the name says: perfect creamy consistency and just the right amount of sweetness. It uses all ingredients that I keep on hand too, which is great when I need a quick and easy recipe for a party! Though not exactly like it, this dip is reminiscent of Jason’s Deli’s fruit dip which I absolutely love.
Creamy Dreamy Fruit Dip

Ingredients:
3/4 cup light sour cream
2 oz. 1/3 less fat cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
pinch cinnamon (optional)
1/2 tsp. orange juice (optional)
Directions:
In a small bowl, whisk together the sour cream, cream cheese, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon & orange juice (if using) until fully incorporated and smooth. Chill for at least one hour prior to serving to allow flavors to marry. Serve with fruit for dipping (apples, strawberries, cantaloupe, grapes, etc.)
Notes:
*Can omit cream cheese and use 1 cup sour cream, dip will just be runnier
*Can beat together in a stand mixer instead of just whisking
This would be yummy at a baby shower!
