So it’s that time of year for lots of parties! I love it!! I helped host a shower recently and was tasked with bringing the cheese ball and I also had a meeting the next day so I found this recipe that made 2 cheese balls and it worked perfectly! This might be the best cheese ball I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot because I am a huge cheese ball fan! Such a great appetizer or snack and lots of people have asked me for the recipe! I even took the leftovers to thanksgiving and my mom was asking for the recipe too! Everyone will love this at your holiday parties!
Perfect Party Cheese Ball
Source: Kraft
Makes 2 Cheese Balls
Ingredients:
2 pkg. (8 oz. each) 1/3 less fat cream cheese, softened
8 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 green onions, chopped
1 tbsp. pimentos
2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. lemon juice (approx. juice of 1/2 a lemon)
Dash ground red pepper
1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
Add cream cheese and cheddar cheese to the bowl of a stand mixer and beat until incorporated. Add in green onions, pimentos, worcestershire, lemon juice, & red pepper. Beat on low until incorporated. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
After chilling, divide mixture in half and roll each half into a ball. Spread 1/2 of the nuts on a cutting board and roll the cheese ball in the nuts. Repeat for 2nd cheese ball. Cover both with plastic wrap or place in an airtight container & refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes:
*I used rubber gloves when rolling my ball so it wasn’t so messy
Great timing…I’ve been looking for a good cheese ball recipe (I’ve never made one) and I think I’ve found it.
Great! Hope you enjoy it Char!
How have I never made a cheeseball before?! This looks like the perfect one to start with!
Thanks Julie! I’ve only made one once before now, so totally understandable! I usually am drawn to more dips for appetizers but this was so worth it!
